RNDRS + SketchUp

SketchUp models, rendered photoreal

Export a SketchUp view, upload it to RNDRS and describe the materials and lighting you want to explore. AI image models generate a visualization; processing time and fidelity vary, so review the result against your model.

AI rendering that works from the image you already have — a sketch, a model view, a photo. Ask for the change, keep every version. In the browser, no plugin, no GPU. From $19 a month, or $99 once — credits never expire. 5 free renders. No card. Failed renders are refunded automatically.

Prepare your source with the free input checklist
  1. Export

2-point perspective or any viewport view, PNG or JPG. Untextured is fine.

  2. Upload

Drop the export onto the RNDRS canvas — no plugin to install

  3. Prompt

"White render facade, oak screens, overcast morning light"

  4. Render

Generate a visualization and review it against your source

What to consider

Choose the workflow around the image you need to deliver and the control your project requires.

Start from an exported view

Choose the camera in SketchUp before capturing the image. Hide selection outlines, axes and editing guides where they obscure the design. Export a clear image of one view or crop a screenshot to the viewport. Check that openings and model edges remain readable at full size. RNDRS receives the image, not the hidden model geometry.

Clay models welcome

Use an untextured view to explore a material direction before finishing the model. Describe the intended surfaces and compare massing, openings and detail with the source.

Iterate options on one canvas

Start with one decision, such as a facade material. Describe the target surface, finish and details to retain; then inspect openings, roof edges and changes outside that surface. Use the same original view for a fair comparison of alternatives. Continue from a selected result only when its interpretation is useful.

Studio help
Do I need a SketchUp plugin to use RNDRS?

No. RNDRS is fully browser-based — export your viewport as an image (File > Export > 2D Graphic) and upload it. There's nothing to install and it works with SketchUp Free, Go and Pro.

Will the AI change my geometry?

AI generation can change geometry or introduce details. Compare the output with your source and verify dimensions separately. The image is a visualization, not measured documentation.

Can I render untextured SketchUp models?

Yes. Upload an untextured view and describe the material direction. Keep edges and openings readable, then inspect how the generated image interprets them.

How does this compare to V-Ray or Enscape for SketchUp?

Traditional renderers compute physically accurate light from a fully materialed scene, which takes setup time and hardware. RNDRS generates a photoreal image from a screenshot with AI — ideal for concept iterations and client reviews, with upscaling available for selected results.

What resolution are the renders?

Inspect the downloaded image dimensions. Upscaling can enlarge a selected render; check the file dimensions and detail against your intended print size.
