Sketch or drawing
Photograph the page square-on in even light, or scan it. Keep linework readable and crop to one drawing. If the view leaves geometry ambiguous, describe the assumption you want to explore.
Sketch-to-render workflowFree studio resource
Start with one clear sketch, model view or photograph. Define the change you want, then check the generated result against your design. Use this checklist before your next Studio session.
No signup needed for the checklist. Download a copy to keep notes with your project.
A clear source makes your intent easier to communicate. It does not guarantee that a generated result will keep every detail.

Sketch-to-render workflowChoose the camera in your design software before exporting. Hide selection outlines and editing guides. Keep the model silhouette and openings readable; an image export does not carry hidden model geometry.
SketchUp export workflowUse a clear photograph that shows the surfaces you want to change. Avoid extreme perspective distortion where possible. If only one material or object should change, identify that area and review nearby surfaces after the edit.
Interior rendering workflowTick each item as you prepare and review your work. Download the plain-text copy to keep project notes.
Say what to change, where to change it and what to retain. Add the purpose of a reference when you use one.
Change [surface or object] to [material or direction]. Keep [camera, openings and other constraints]. Use the reference for [specific feature].
Change the rear wall finish to pale oak panels. Keep the camera, window openings and furniture layout. Use the reference for the wood color and panel rhythm, not its room layout.
Review whether the output followed each instruction. A detailed brief helps explain your intent; it cannot guarantee geometry or material accuracy.
If openings, proportions or circulation have changed unintentionally, return to the source and simplify the next instruction. Verify measured requirements in your design software before presenting an AI image as a proposal.
